Fly agaric: what mushrooms can be used
and which ones can't

Amanita muscaria
This is a red fly agaric. Its use can provoke not only indigestion, but also suffocation, fainting and even death, although this occurs extremely rarely. Only two or three types of fly agaric are considered especially dangerous.

The hat is red, 20 cm in size. It has white and yellow spots of a convex shape. Mushrooms of "perennial" hats are flat, with light plates below. The flesh is white, sometimes with a pink tint and not a pronounced mushroom smell. Leg - no more than 25 cm in height, white with yellow spots. This species should not be eaten, but can be used to make a fly repellent. To do this, the hat is placed on a saucer, poured with boiling water and covered with powdered sugar, flies flock to the sweet syrup, and then die.
Amanita gemmata
Yellow cap with white spots. The older the mushroom, the brighter the color of the cap. The aroma of the mushroom resembles the smell of a radish. The leg is thin with villi, over time a ring appears on it.

Amanita pantherina
This mushroom looks like a gray-pink, but it can not be eaten. When a poisonous mushroom is broken, the color of the pulp does not change. It grows in deciduous and coniferous forests. The hat, 9 cm in size, is gray, sometimes brown, with multiple white spots on the surface. The aroma of the mushroom resembles a radish. The leg is thin, about 13 cm high, with 2-3 bands and an inconspicuous film ring.

Amanita citrine
A small mushroom with a yellow, sometimes with a brown tint cap, about 10 cm in diameter and light plates. The pulp has a lemon shade. The height of the leg is within 12 cm, there is a yellowish ring on the leg.

Amanita citrine alba
"Lemon" mushroom. Similar to the previous one, differs only in white color. At the base of the stem of an "adult" fungus, small mushrooms with a tuber are often located.

Edible

Amanita fulva
The mushroom can be eaten boiled. An oval-shaped cap is present in young mushrooms, becoming flat over time. There is a dark spot at the top of the smooth grey-orange cap. There are grooves along the edges of the cap, the plates grow freely. The stalk is long, thin, predominantly white, sometimes with a brown tint, widened towards the bottom.

Amanita rubescens

The mushroom can be eaten pickled or fried. The hat is convex, ranging in size from 10 to 18 cm, gray in color, sometimes with a pink tint with multiple white plates and gray or brown spots. White juicy pulp, turns pink when broken. Before eating, the mushroom must be boiled and drained.

Edible mushrooms also include solitaria and spissa.
